Research indicates that music activates those parts of the brain that are associated with happiness, which are also activated by food and sex. In other words, music can be a good way to relax you.

Learning to say no is a big part of how to be happy in life. This is because you eliminate activities that are not necessary and those that you do not enjoy. In fact, if you take up something that you don’t enjoy you will very likely dread every moment of it, however noble the activity is.

When you know that you aren’t going to enjoy doing an activity, take a firm stand and say no. Even if you feel a little awkward to say no, just do it. Because doing so means you are allowing your mind to relax and be at peace, which then leads you to happiness and the benefits that come with it.
